Kaketa’s dictionary is built from open data. Thank you to the people who maintain it:
- JMdict and KANJIDIC2: the words, readings, meanings, and each kanji’s grade, readings, and stroke count are from the files of the Electronic Dictionary Research and Development Group, used in conformance with the Group’s licence (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0). edrdg.org
- KanjiVG: the stroke order drawings, copyright Ulrich Apel, Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0. kanjivg.tagaini.net
- OpenJLPT: the JLPT levels and example sentences contain data from OpenJLPT (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0), which uses JMdict and KANJIDIC2 (EDRDG), Jonathan Waller’s JLPT lists (Creative Commons Attribution), and Tatoeba (Creative Commons Attribution 2.0 FR). github.com/evanclan/OpenJLPT
The JLPT publishes no official vocabulary lists; the levels in Kaketa are community lists and an approximation.
